Rigid Tubes

Rigid tubes are the most popular form of seedling protection. Exposure to ultraviolet light causes the tubes to photo degrade and disintegrate in 2 to 4 years. To support the tubes, a metal pin, bamboo stakes, or a similar type of staking devices is recommended. Rigid tubes are excellent protection for high browse areas.

Rigid Tubes are an economical method to insure seedling survival. Offers protection from browsing by deer, elk, rabbits, mountain beaver and many other predators. Photo degradation makes this an environmentally friendly system, by not adding undesirable materials to the forest. The life span of the tubes may be specified when ordering.
